I am a Mercury Music Prize winning producer and mixing engineer, mostly known for being the co-founder of UK acid folk band Tunng. Releasing seven albums worldwide since 2005.  Tunng are considered pioneers of the “Folktronica” genre, defining a sound that went on to inspire the Nu folk/Acid folk movement. I am also known as one half of LUMP, the electronic alt Psych collaboration with Laura Marling. We’ve released two albums so far.

I have co-written, produced and mixed many records for a wide range of artists who come to me for my sonic wonk! Including Speech Debelle's Mercury Music prize winning album "Speech Therapy", Jon Hopkins, Philippe Cohen Solal, Elizabeth Fraser, Guy Garvey,  DuBlonde, Tinariwen, Songhoy Blues, Low Roar, Serafina Steer, Hannah Peel, Laura Marling, Dana Gavanski, Anna B Savage, Douglas Dare, Laura Cahen, William Doyle, Stornoway, Young Knives and more.

I now reside in the brilliantly odd seaside town of Margate in the UK where I have a recording studio called MESS (Mike’s Excellent Sound Space).

Alongside the on going production and mixing work, I have just released my solo album called ‘mike lindsay supershapes volume 1’. feat Anna B Savage and Robert Stillman out on Moshi moshi records.
